'The Flash' Comic-Con Preview Shows Just How Fast Grant Gustin Can Run

'The Flash' Comic-Con Preview Shows Just How Fast Grant Gustin Can Run Grant Gustin is totally getting a ticket for this.

This Comic-Con exclusive promo for "The Flash" shows off just how fast the titular superhero can run, and includes a bunch of fun little easter eggs for fans, too.

In the promo, we watch a small-town cop sitting in his car, doing a crossword and ignoring a couple of speeders as they go by. Then, the ground starts to rumble, and Barry Allen himself runs by, shattering the poor policeman's car and showing off Flash's speed on the radar gun.

Hint: It's right around the speed of sound.

Of course, that's nothing compared to what Flash can accomplish in the comic books, where he can run many times faster than the speed of light, vibrate so fast that he enters another dimension, and other physics-bending stuff. But for the show, it seems that Flash's powers will be a little more based in reality, as superheroes go.

Some other fun details: The crossword puzzle features words like "Iris" (Barry Allen's girlfriend and later wife), "speed," "light," "Allen" and even "Grodd," which refers to Gorilla Grodd, one of Flash's many arch-nemeses. We know that Wentworth Miller will be playing Flash villain Captain Cold, but could this be a hint that Flash will be facing off against a giant talking gorilla in the show as well?
