1. The Wizard of Oz (1939)- Dorothy Gale's world is turned upside down - literally - when a Kansas Twister picks up her and her house and drops her in the land of Oz. If Dorothy had just listened to her Auntie Em, generations of fans would haven missed out on one of the world's most beloved children's books.
2. Jurassic Park (1993) - All it took was one little tropical storm to completely disable the security gates at a dinosaur park. Good thing Jeff Goldblum was on hand to help save the day.
3. The Shining (1980) - Jack Nicholson slowly starts to go crazy during a blizzard while overseeing a creepy, abandoned Colorado hotel. This classic horror story still sends chills more than 30 years later.
4. Twister (1996) - Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton spend the entire movie chasing - you guessed it - twisters.
5. The Perfect Storm (2000) This movie starring George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg is based on a true storm that really put a damper on a group of fishermen's trip. A pretty perfect cast makes this movie - and it's storm - perfectly awesome.
