First Trailer for 'Wet Hot American Summer' Reboot Is Awesomely 80's
by Andy Neuenschwander
Hey, ever heard of Amy Poehler? How about Bradley Cooper? Paul Rudd? Elizabeth Banks? Michael Ian Black? Christopher Meloni? If so, you should watch Netflix's prequel to "Wet Hot American Summer."
The prequel series, based on the movie, officially has its first trailer. Since the series is set back in 1981, before the events of the movie, the trailer itself is pretty 80's too.
It's made up to look like a promotional video for Camp Firewood, the location where all of the weird shenanigans of the Camp Firewood counselors take place. The trailer even has a VHS quality to it.
In the trailer, we see glimpses of the cast playing younger versions of roles that they played more than a decade ago, and while you can tell that some of them have aged, we're pretty amazed by Elizabeth Banks and Paul Rudd. Are they vampires or something? Seriously.
Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for a quick shot of Bradley Cooper and Michael Ian Black's infamous sex scene.
