First Poster for 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' Is Revolutionary

We're still a number of months away from seeing "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" in theaters, but seeing as it's summertime, Lionsgate is starting the marketing campaign already.

The first poster for the movie is out today, and it highlights the conflict that will be the focus of the second "Mockingjay" movie: the overthrow of President Snow and the Capitol. The poster features an alabaster statue of Snow, smashed to pieces in a way that makes it look as though Snow has been decapitated.

Of course, it also features the mockingjay logo, spray-painted in a blood-red color behind the statue.

The poster also features the hashtag #unite, along with a URL: revolution.pn. Fans who go to the website will be given the option to "enlist" in the revolution against the Capitol and get special content about the upcoming movie.

The visual style of the poster is a nod to the posters for "Mockingjay - Part 1," which featured Snow, Peeta and Johanna, dressed all in white and even painted white in some posters, in what was meant to look like pro-Capitol propaganda.

Unlike the "Part 1" campaign, there doesn't seem to be a "motion poster" accompanying this one, but maybe that's coming.
