First 'Insurgent' Trailer Makes the 'Divergent' Sequel Look Really Weird

The first "Insurgent" trailer is here, and it's...a little weird. Really, it's more than a little weird.

Rather than set up the plot of the next movie, this teaser-like trailer gives us one particular scene from the "Divergent" sequel. But the dream-like nature of it suggests that it doesn't exactly take place in the real world.

In the trailer, Tris leaps across buildings and climbs to attempt to save her mother from a burning house. Of course, those who saw the first movie will know why this is a problematic sequence.

Our best guess is that Tris is under some new simulation, similar to the one she went through as part of Dauntless initiation. This would probably count as a new fear for Tris, though, as this specific imagery never appeared in the book.

The one thing we know is real is Tris' haircut, as she ditches her long blonde locks for a short pixie cut in the book. We think Shailene Woodley pulls of the new look pretty well...she looks like a proper badass.

The movie doesn't hit theaters until March 20, 2015, so we're likely to see many more trailers that (hopefully) show us a bit more of what happens in the world outside of Tris' mind.
