Will Ferrell To Host Third 'Saturday Night Live'

Will Ferrell Saturday Night Live Good things have this habit of happening when the prodigal sons and daughters of "Saturday Night Live" return.

Since two good turns eventually deserve another, Will Ferrell will be back May 12 to bellow "Live from New York..." for a third time, The Huffington Post reports. He'll be bringing with him musical guest Usher, who'll be building steam toward his June 12 album Looking For Myself.

Ferrell, meanwhile, has been making bigger news with a project that won't hit theaters for some time: last month, he made it official that the long-rumored, once-debunked "Anchorman 2" is indeed incubating. In the meantime, he spoofed telenovela-style camp in "Casa de mi Padre" and will next star alongside Zach Galifianakis in "The Campaign".

With his and production partner Adam McKay's "Funny or Die" online production imprint tagged as a producer, he also shot a cameo for the company's first full-length feature, this summer's "Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie".

He and Super Bowl hero New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning (with musical guest Rihanna, on May 5) make up two of the three hosts closing out the 37th "SNL" season. NBC hasn't yet confirmed the season finale host. Rumors did persist earlier this season that Justin Bieber might double up as host and performer this season, according to HuffPo, so that's always a possibility.
