A Fan-Favorite Show Is Coming to Netflix, and It Rhymes with 'Shmilmore Shmirls'
by Andy NeuenschwanderHey, "Gilmore Girls" fans: Your prayers have been answered.
According to Decider, all seven seasons of "Gilmore Girls" is coming to Netflix next month, meaning you can re-watch the entire series start to finish without having to get up and change those pesky DVDs every few episodes!
There's also the matter of those poor souls out there who have never seen the popular WB/CW show, who might finally discover the early-2000's show for the first time.
For the uninitiated, "Gilmore Girls" was a comedy/drama about a young, single mother (played by Lauren Graham) raising her high school aged daughter (Alexis Bledel) in a small town in Connecticut. The series also featured a pre-"Bridesmaids" Melissa McCarthy and was characterized by snappy, fast-paced dialogue packed with now-outdated pop culture references.
The cast has come a long way since, with Lauren Graham starring in "Parenthood" and Bledel having guest starred on "Mad Men," where she met her now husband Vincent Kartheiser.
The episodes will be available on Netflix on October 1st, so get your binge-watching sweatpants ready.
