Eva Longoria Becomes a Voice for Children in 'Harvest'

Eva Longoria Becomes a Voice for Children in 'Harvest' Eva Longoria is lending her voice to children working in harsh condition throughout the world.

As an executive producer for the film “Harvest,” Longoria helps share the story of three migrant boys who farm in U.S. fields along the border with Mexico.

The undocumented children work 14-hour days and represent the day-to-day difficulties faced by child laborers. The film premiered in Mexico Sunday at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.

“This is a worldwide problem and I hope we can change the law in the United States,” Longoria said of missions regarding the film.

Perhaps Longoria, 36, is taking the civic opportunity to give back while creating healing in her own life.

The “Desperate Housewives” star recently opened up to Allure magazine and spoke of the new time in her life post-divorce from ex-husband Tony Parker.

“It’s been—every time I talk about it, I want to cry. It’s been hard. Very hard. I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama. I’m kind of having to find new patterns because I’m not used to having—I’m used to always being on a plane and flying to a basketball game. I’m in a transition stage, settling into a new routine. And I welcome it,” Longoria said.
