Eva Green's 'Sin City' Poster Banned for Nudity

It's time to pick a side in the case of the MPAA vs. Eva Green's underboob.

The newest poster for the upcoming "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" features star Eva Green in character...and in a fairly skimpy silk robe. As a result, the Motion Picture Association of America turned down the poster for use as promotional material, citing "nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown."

It's true that the poster is a bit more revealing than most, but we're not so sure that it's really warranting a ban from the MPAA. Still, this sort of thing tends to happen with movie posters: The poster for "Shame" featured a bare back with the title spelled out in an unidentified-but-totally-identified white liquid substance, while the poster for "The People vs. Larry Flynt" featured Woody Harrelson posing similar to Jesus on the cross over a woman's pelvic area.

In the case of the Sin City sequel, they'll most likely work with the MPAA to come to a compromise, just as they would if the movie itself got a rating they didn't like.

The movie, based on further stories in the "Sin City" universe written by Frank Miller, will feature the return of Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke, along with the addition of Green and other newcomers to the series such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Josh Brolin.

"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" comes out in theaters on August 22.
