Episode 'Modern Family' Season 2, Episode 22 - 'Good Cop, Bad Dog' Recap Mitchell is upset that he can't go to the Lady Gaga concert..."It's the one gay cliché that I allow myself," he says. The problem is, Cameron is sick. No, that's an understatement. Cameron looks like he's half-dead.

Claire is upset that she's always playing bad cop while Phil is always the good cop. So, she makes Phil tell the girls to clean the bathroom while she takes Manny and Luke go-karting.

Jay is upset because Gloria keep dragging him into her little pet projects...this time, she brought in a guy who works at the grocery store and wants Jay's business advice. There's a dog involved too.

So, basically, everybody's upset. That includes Guillermo, whose business pitch doesn't go very well with Jay. To be fair, though, it was a terrible idea. But did Gloria finally learn a lesson about saying no?

Nope. She didn't. But Jay learned a thing or to about saying yes...to adorable dogs anyway.

Mitchell finally gets to go to his concert, and with only minor guilt.

But the star of the episode was Phil, whose unleashes the beast within when the girls lie to him about having cleaned the bathroom. "You poked the bear!" he growls. As entertaining as this side of Phil is, all good things must come to an end. It turns out he's "not a good bad cop" and Claire is "a bad good cop." Plus, he was getting dangerously close to using torture techniques on the poor girls.

Line of the night: "Sweet and sour chickennnn!"
