Episode 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians' Season 6, Episode 1 - 'Family vs. Money' Recap

Episode 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians' Season 6, Episode 1 - 'Family vs. Money' Recap "Keeping Up" with these Kardashians may be harder than I thought after last night's season premiere.

In the beginning, America was only interested in "keeping up" with Kim Kardashian. After the Kardashian series introduced us to her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, and her mother, Kris, we couldn't help but follow their lives as well.

Now, five seasons later, the family continues to grow and we have Scott and Mason Disick, Lamar Odom, Kris Humphries, Bruce Jenner, Rob Kardashian and the youngest siblings, Kendall and Kylie to "keep up with."

Last night's episode titled "Love vs. Money" focused on the disappearing value of family. With hectic work schedules, NBA husbands and boyfriends and everyday life, the close-knit clan was lacking a sense of unity.

After a family game night gone awry, Kourt and Khlo decided to show Mama Kris a lesson by skipping out on a meeting to prove that work isn't the most important thing in life. Point taken; Kris Jenner vows that every Sunday she will cook a chef will cook a big family meal for some Kardashian Q.T.

Throughout the episode Kim is trying to convince her family to give her new boyfriend, basketballer Kris Humphries, a chance. Her sibs are hesitant, however, because Kim is a "relationship girl," she falls hard and fast and loves the same way. While this quality is endearing to some, her sisters are afraid to become "emotionally involved" with another guy in Kim's life because they come and go so quickly.

As in many other episodes, Mama Kris demands that Khloe be more understanding of sensitive sister Kim (who can be found sulking in a bedroom in some wing of the house). Khloe baby talks her way through an apology and the world is right again.

A night with the Kardashians would be incomplete without real bickering and thanks to Rob and Kim we get a taste. Rob calls Kim out for being a snob who is too busy for the family. Kim lashes back saying that Rob is an "a**hole unless he needs money." Rob then delivers the quote of the night (brace yourself), "That's not true. Actually, Khloe gives me an allowance." Oh Rob, save yourself some pride and keep it off-camera!

Dinner ends with Kim deciding she is booking last-minute flight back to the East coast after a cancellation leaves her Monday wide open. She delivers the highlight of the night when she tries to sprint from the table in 4-inch heels and completely wipes out. Thanks Kimmy!

The Kardashians do a half-assed job at convincing us that money is less important to them than family. At the end of the day though, I will still be tuning in for family dinners every Sunday night.

Looking ahead to the rest of this season; Scott falls off the wagon for the sixteenth time and starts hitting the bottle again, Kourtney might be pregnant (again), Kim says she "hates Lamar," Khloe seems to "hate Kris Humphries," Kim gets engaged to Kris H. and something is wrong with Rob. Maybe it's the fact that he is 24 years old and gets an allowance from his big sis with no real responsibilities? Duh.
