Episode '30 Rock' Season 5, Episode 20 - 'The Big 100' Recap

Episode '30 Rock' Season 5, Episode 20 - 'The Big 100' Recap Hank Hooper is getting more and more unsettling each episode. By now he's delivering horrible news with a smile: he's going to cancel "TGS," and right before its 100th episode. Oh, p.s. this is the 100th episode of "30 Rock." Go figure.

Ah, so this 100th episode is going to be a bit of a clip show. Not that I have arguments with clips from past episodes of one of the best comedies on TV.

Michael Keaton is here as Tom the gas man, who reveals that there's a gas leak on the "TGS" set. Things are about to get wacky. The gas causes nostalgia and flashbacks. That explains it.

Tracy is trying to get his crazy on by going on the talk show circuit, but he's so respected he can do no wrong now. Matt Lauer has an especially hilarious cameo. And...Bono is in his limo?!

Tom accidently sends the gas up to Jack's office, which causes Jack to hallucinate and talk to an alternate universe version of himself, who is very disappointed in...himself.

Liz's nostalgia causes her to gas-dial Dennis, who shows up. The whole gang is showing up for the big 100 I guess.

You know what's amazing about "30 Rock?" They do an hour-long episode and still manage to give us a ridiculous joke-per-minute rate. It's almost impossible to keep up with.

Anyway, Dennis causes an even bigger gas leak. Will Tracy and Jenna murder someone? Will Jack reconcile with his sideways and past selves? Is anyone ever going to pass out from the gas? Will Liz accidentally marry Dennis? I'm getting a headache just from watching.

Future Jack shows up with an awesome suit and a lesson: business is only part of life. So Jack goes to rescue Liz. That's taken care of, but Kenneth is still about to be shot. And that would mean a lot of paperwork for Jack.

AMAZING speech by Alec Baldwin about doing television after a movie career! I wonder if the other Jacks followed through: "Okay, everyone's thinking it so I'm just going to say it. We're all going to have sex with each other, right?"

Thanks to yet another gas leak, the show is a hit! Also, there's a "Dr. Steven Poop" reference..."SNL" fans will know where that comes from.

Tom Hanks takes us out, and takes Tracy off the official A-List. Classic Hanx.
