'Entourage' Movie Gets the Go-Ahead

'Entourage' Movie Gets the Go-AheadEntourage” fans, it’s time to rejoice! After a lot of speculation, hope, and time, it’s finally official: the HBO series will get its big screen adaptation after all.

Warner Bros. Studio has picked up the movie.

The script was written by “Entourage” creator, Doug Ellin. He is also set to direct.

While little is known at the moment, staple characters played by Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven are all in talks to return.

The show, which Ellin also executive produced alongside Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson, ran eight seasons on HBO and ended in 2011.

Adrian Grenier, who starred as up-and-coming movie actor Vincent Chase, said that the end of the show broke a lot of hearts.

“I have to console so many people on the street. I mean grown men practically in tears now wondering what they’re going to do now on Sunday nights. So there’s a lot of huggin’ it out.”

According to Ellin, the movie will pick up six months after the show left off. In the finale, Ari was offered the opportunity to be the Chairman and CEO of a movie studio—his dream job—but struggled with wanting to make himself more available to his wife. The show never answered which decision Ari made.

Last year, Jeremy Piven hinted, "We're teed up for a movie in a way that, you know, Ari has this conundrum that he's facing, which is either to rule the world or to honor his love to his wife."

Executive producer Mark Wahlberg also gave his opinion on a movie version last June.

"I think a 90-minute movie of sheer craziness -- the guys getting back to just being about the guys, you know? Lose the ladies. Go crazy. Give people what they want."

What do you think, “Entourage” fans?
