Emma Watson to Present New 'Harry Potter' Footage at the MTV Movie Awards

The MTV Movie Awards, never one to be content with merely celebrating the immediate past, will continue to sell the immediate future. And what bigger future is there than the final "Harry Potter" film? Yes, six-and-one-half films later, we're getting closer every day to the end of it all. MTV is going to help promote it, and AOL TV has learned that they've wrangled Emma Watson to show it off.

Watson will present new footage from the film on the awards show Sunday, making it an actual part of the show and not simply a commercial break. Warner Brothers isn't about to go cheap on us now!

In a statement to AOL TV, MTV said, "Wizard-loving fans will be treated to a never-before-seen clip from the conclusion of the two-part motion picture event. From Warner Bros. Pictures, the last installment of the epic 'Harry Potter' film series comes to theatres on July 15th, 2011, marking the end of the most successful film franchise in movie history."

Well...sort of. James Bond still holds by far the most successful film series if you adjust for inflation, which is only fair. But we'll let them have it.

The MTV Movie Awards air Sunday, June 5th at 9pm EST. Watson will hardly be the only star there - no less than Steven Spielberg himself will show, and plenty others. Jason Sudeikis hosts the whole affair.
