Emma Watson is Definitely NOT Doing '50 Shades of Grey'

After the hacker collective Anonymous broke into Constantin Film’s internal server and released documents claiming that Emma Watson is set to star in the upcoming “50 Shades of Grey” adaptation, Watson herself felt the need to put a stop to the gossip.

The “Bling Ring” actress tweeted, “Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life.”

It was later followed with a pointed “?” and later by “Good. Well that’s that sorted then. :)”

So-o-o-o take that as a decisive “no” to the casting rumors.

The film is set to be released 2014 and will be helmed by Universal and Focus Features, so no doubt casting pressure is on. However a rep for Focus Features confirmed that casting has not yet officially begun, and that Constantin Film has no involvement in the production of “50 Shades.”

Watson’s name has already been attached to the project multiple times, though she took pains to deny them.

"I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing. There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' –- I never even saw a script!” she had said previously.

She’s not the only one rumored to be attached to the role, however. Many actresses are finding themselves cast as Anastasia Steele without their knowledge, including fan-favorite "Game of Thrones' powerhouse Emilia Clarke.

Currently, the film has no one attached, actor- or director-wise, although Kelly Marcel, who is adapting the sexual explicit novel to the screen, says that the film will more than likely garner an NC-17 rating.

Who do you want to see playing Anastasia Steele, if not Watson?
