Will Emily Return to 'Criminal Minds'? Cast Says 'The Show Must Go On'

‘Criminal Minds’ star Thomas Gibson has revealed that Paget Brewster, who plays Emily Prentiss, could return to the show.

The popular show continues to lose cast members, but Gibson (who plays Hotch) told Entertainment Weekly that he could not imagine the show without her.

Brewster’s character was believed to have been killed, but later found to be alive in Paris.

With diplomacy, Gibson says her return is up to her and “whoever has hired her for their pilot.”

 Brewster has signed onto Jack Black’s pilot, “My Life As an Experiement.”

Despite the loss of stars, which also includes JJ (AJ Cook), the show will continue.

"We've still got stories to tell, and I want us to tell them well. Hopefully people are along for the ride," Gibson said.
