Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Find Intruder Hiding Behind Cushions An intruder arrested last week at Elen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s home was found on their kitchen deck hiding behind cushions. The intruder was asked to leave the grounds at 3 a.m., only to return around 5 a.m. She was promptly arrested and charged with misdemeanor trsspassing.

In court Monday, the judge told the suspect, “You end up in someone’s backyard at three in the morning… then you are asked to leave… and you come back later with no legit purpose whatsoever and secrete yourself… you are probably up to no good. It only takes one time to be a threat.”

Prosecutors said that 49-year-old Karen Sjoden had been carrying a list of 10-12 celebrity names and addresses and a long letter to Hillary Clinton.

Police officers said she was also carrying many pages of “delusional language” that included references to telepathic imaging machines, the FBI and the CIA.

The suspect pled not guilty to misdemeanor trespassing, stating she is a private investigator who was hired to follow DeGeneres. If found guilty, she faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

DeGeneres and de Rossi married in 2008, and in 2010 de Rossi legally changed her name to Portia Lee James DeGeneres. The couple live at their home in Beverly Hills with three dogs.
