Elle Magazine: Kim Kardashian Won't Be On Our Cover

Elle Magazine: Kim Kardashian Won't Be On Our Cover It seems the Kardashian backlash hits a new level nearly every day: now, there's even a magazine cover that won't feature comely, photogenic celebrity divorcee Kim Kardashian.

Elle Magazine creative director Joe Zee finally came right out and said himself recently what millions of people - probably including more than a few Elle readers - have been saying for years: Kim Kardashian is famous for doing next to nothing.

That's exactly why she won't grace the fashion bible's cover anytime soon, he explained.

Still, the result he claims notwithstanding, his opposing example might leave some scratching their heads.

"We put Lauren Conrad on the cover of our anniversary issue and she did very well," Zee said to New York Magazine recently.

"Listen, Kim is a big cover star out there and if Kim had something going on in her life right now - Kim's very quiet - I just wish that she would do something but she's not doing anything. If she actually did something, we would actually think about Kim for the cover. It's about new. It's not about, so much, a reality star. The idea is, are they newsworthy? Is it someone our readers want to read about?"

And just exactly what company does Kim share these days? Well, if proximity between names is any indication, he adds a few paragraphs down:

"I don't know about Snooki," Zee said. "I'm going to have to pass on that one."

So, let's recap.

One minute, there's apparently fascination with Kim to justify a two-part, prime-time E! "Keeping Up with The Kardashians" special chronicling the wedding to former New Jersey Net Kris Humphries that had earned Kim a cool $275,000 per day by the time she divorced him 72 days later.

Now, probably not ironically after more than 25,000 people have demanded her show be immediately cancelled and forgotten, the most infamous member of the family that keeps many a tabloid in business has finally been told by at least one editor essentially "We're sorry, but even we're just not sure why you're famous."

And to think, of all the Kardashians that could possibly be doing OK right now, it's low-key Rob who's going to be dancing for the Mirrorball Trophy on Monday night's "Dancing With The Stars" finale.

In the words of a Panic! At The Disco song, things are shaping up to be pretty odd.
