Eliza Dushku Joins Cast of 'Bull'

Eliza Dushku Joins Cast of 'Bull' One of the season's biggest new series delivered some big news this week. CBS officially renewed Bull for a second season, and the series also announced that Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Eliza Dushku will be joining the cast as a regular in season two.

Dushku will make her first appearance on the series this season in the role of J.P. Nunnelly, a defense attorney who joins Bull's team to defend another team member from prosecution. The character will appear in a three-episode storyline this season, but the role is likely to expand to regular status next season.

Dushku is best known for her roles on Buffy and Dollhouse, another series from Buffy creator Joss Whedon in which Dushku played the lead role. She has been absent from broadcast TV since the cancellation of Dollhouse by Fox in 2010.

Bull has been a dependable ratings performer for CBS, regularly finishing near the top of the rankings for all scripted series on broadcast TV. Its audience tends to skew older, however, and it doesn't perform as well as some other hits among the coveted younger demographic.

Dushku's first appearance on Bull is scheduled for May 9, 2017.
