Edward James Olmos Cast in 'Dexter' Season Six

Edward James Olmos Cast in 'Dexter' Season Six I'm still not quite sure what season six of "Dexter" has in store for us, but whatever it is, it's sure to be pretty awesome. Why? Two words: cast list.

We heard recently that both Mos Def and Colin Hanks would be joining the cast of the new season, though their roles are not yet announced.

It's not even certain whether the two will be playing good guys or bad guys...although considering the comedy backgrounds of both actors, I'd love to see them both as serial killers. It'd be a nice change of pace.

Showtime announced today that veteran actor Edward James Olmos will be joining "Dexter" as well, adding yet another great name to the cast list. Again, it's unclear how exactly Olmos' character will fit into the next season, and just as with Hanks and Mos Def it's much easier to imagine him as a good guy than a killer.

But, seeing Olmos play bad could be a lot of fun. If you saw him in films like "Blade Runner" or watched him as the noble Admiral Adama in the reboot of "Battlestar Galactica," you already know just how good this guy can be. Season six is turning out to be a pretty intriguing one for "Dexter."
