Drew Van Acker Comes Back to 'Pretty Little Liars'
by EG
Season seven of Pretty Little Liars will be what executive producer Marlene King is calling "a season of homecomings," in which a number of long-lost characters will return to the series. The latest of these homecomings to be announced is that of Jason DiLaurentis, played by Drew Van Acker.
King says that Jason will be back by the seventh episode of the seventh season, when he'll show up for "a very awkward family dinner with his aunt and his sister." King didn't offer an explanation for Jason's return, and she didn't say how long the character would stick around once he returns.
Season seven will also see the return of Noel, played by Brant Daugherty, and Jenna, played by Tammin Sursok.
The upcoming season will begin with a five-year time jump since the end of season six. Rumors have circulated that the seventh season will be the final one for the series, but King has indicated that she's open to continuing into an eighth season and beyond if the series' ratings remain strong and the show's network, Freeform, is willing to continue. Some of the series' principal actors, including Lucy Hale and Troian Bellisario, have indicated that they believe season seven is the end of the road, however.
