The 'Downton Abbey' Season 3 Countdown Begins! Catch Up On Season Two!

The long-awaited return of “Downton Abbey” has finally arrived!

But… the conclusion of season two was so long ago! How will you possibly remember what all happened?

Here’s the run-down of some of the most important points, to ease you back into the show.

1)    Matthew’s fiancee Livinia dies of the Spanish flu… finally getting that little obstacle out of the way. This frees Mary up to break up with the conniving and ever-jealous Richard, which ends of course in a good fight, and to tell the truth to her father about the man who died in her bed.

Voila, path cleared for a happy moment between Matthew and Mary. Matthew finally proposes, and Mary happily accepts. It's about time those two got it figured out.

2)    Mr. Bates, after being framed for murder by his evil ex, gets life in prison over the looming death sentence… can his name be cleared?

3)    Sybil has finally admitted her love for Branson… and off they go. Romantic much? But who is happy, and who isn't about this strange pairing? The house seems split.

4)    Ethel speaks to her babydaddy’s parents in hopes of getting financial assistance, but they will only agree to take baby Charlie if she will not be involved in his life. Ethel choose to keep her son and carry on raising him.

5)    Edith chases down her past love, Sir Anthony. He tells her that she is too young for him, but seems to be wearing down. Will Edith finally come to power in her own right… or at least get noticed? Poor Edith.

Season three of "Downton Abbey" begins tonight... starting off with the much anticipated wedding of Mary and Matthew. What other surprises will the show have in store for this season?
