Don Draper, Director: Jon Hamm to Step Behind the Camera for 'Mad Men' Season 5 Premiere

Don Draper, Director: Jon Hamm to Step Behind the Camera for 'Mad Men' Season 5 Premiere It's going to be a while until we see "Mad Men" again. A very, very long while. With those contract negotiations getting held up, the show won't be back on the air until March of 2012. That's, like, a year from now! We could all be raptured by then!

But the wait will be worth it, won't it? The drama! The style! The Christina Hendricks!

Here's another reason to be excited about the season five premiere: the first episode of the new season will be directed by Don Draper himself, actor Jon Hamm! Hamm has officially signed on to work behind the camera as well as in front of it for the season five debut.

This will be Jon Hamm's directorial debut. He'll probably do a great job, because apparently this guy can do everything. He's a strong performer on one of the best dramas on TV, and by now you must have seen what he can do comedically. His appearances on "30 Rock" and "SNL" aside, a look at his outtakes from "Bridesmaids" should be enough to crack anyone up.

I mean, hell, this guy even pulls off being one half of the Ambiguously Gay Duo.

So, there's another reason to be impatient about the season five premiere. I guess we'll just have to enjoy the heck out of "Breaking Bad" and "The Walking Dead" in the meantime.
