Dominic Monaghan on 'Lost' Co-Star Matthew Fox: 'He Beats Women'
by Andy NeuenschwanderFans of the now-defunct TV hit "Lost" will recognize Dominic Monaghan almost immediately as Charlie, the Island's resident junkie (later reformed) and one of the Island's many resident wisecrackers. But when it comes to his former co-star Matthew Fox (Jack, of course), he's dead serious. There's some bad blood between the two, which is becoming clearer.
It started innocently enough, with Monaghan answering questions for fans on Twitter about whatever they wanted to ask. The usual fare (favorite bands, foods, etc.) came up, but one particular request elicited a strong response from Monaghan: when a fan asked him to get Matthew Fox to join Twitter, Monaghan responded with this:
@omggbeccaa he beats women. No thanks.

Of course that got a bunch of Fox supporters in a tizzy, because if we've learned anything from Chris Brown's followers, it would be that it's not okay to dislike someone for being an abusive asshole. When the same Twitter user responded (in all caps) with, "I KNOW IT WAS WRONG BUT WHAT?! WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE GOOD TIMES YOU HAD TOGETHER?!" she got another response from Monaghan, reiterating his point with finality:
@omggbeccaa how do you know we ever did?you don't know either of us.he beats women.not isolated incidents.often.not interested.

This really isn't too much of a surprise: after all, Fox threw a hissy fit when he wasn't allowed on a party bus (that wasn't his) and punched the female bus driver in the chest. That, combined with his overinflated ego about his worth as an actor, would lend itself to the conclusion that Matthew Fox is kind of a dick. Monaghan certainly seems to think so.
And you know, I was always Team Sawyer anyway.
