Diners, Drive-Offs, and Dives: Guy Fieri's Lamborghini Stolen in Spectacular Fashion

Diners, Drive-Offs, and Dives: Guy Fieri's Lamborghini Stolen in Spectacular Fashion Food Network star Guy Fieri might make his living on TV, but he was just the victim of a car theft that was just like a heist movie.

The "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and "Minute to Win It" star's prized 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo (a car worth over $200,000) was parked outside a car dealership on Van Ness in San Francisco when a thief reportedly rappelled down the wall of the dealership, entered the car through a window, and drove off.

Let's take a moment to think about what that means: this thief had to first gain access to the roof of the dealership, then he had to set up the proper equipment in order to rappell down the side of the building, and all of that was just to get to the car. Why all the trouble? Walking works just as well.

Police Officer Albie Esparza made a good point about the theft: "It’s a very distinctive car, for sure,” he said. “I don’t know how far this person is going to go.” It certainly is a high-profile theft, stealing a flashy yellow Lamborghini from a reality TV star, and it was done in such a spectacular fashion. It seems as though the thief is less interested in the car than he is in the spotlight.

In any case, you have to give the guy some points for style.
