Dina Lohan Regrets Her Daughter

Mother of the year, Dina Lohan, opened up recently to NY Daily News.
The gist of the interview is this: No, none of this is Dina’s fault. It’s probably not even Lindsay’s fault. Someone else is clearly to blame here. Maybe the assistant? Yes. Someone like the assistant is clearly to blame for Lindsay’s downfall.
On raising the flaming crack addict that is "Scary Movie 5" star Lindsay by shunting her into child acting at an early age:
“I was born into the business. … My mother was an entertainer. It was natural. But yes, in the next life, I might not do it.”
On Lohan’s multiple accusations of stealing and doing all kinds of other unsavory things:
“I have questions about Gavin. … There have been numerous incidents with Lindsay where he has been present. He was with her recently… when she was falsely accused of burglarizing jewelry. It’s all very sketchy.”
Of drinking with her alcoholic daughter, she also insists, “I don’t party with Lindsay. In the early years, I would go with her to clubs, because I wanted to see who the enablers were.”
Yeah that sounds legit.
"Hey guys, it’s Lindsay’s mom, maybe we should tone it down this weekend?"
"No, no, it’s cool. She’s cool. Pour Lindsay another body shot and let’s go snort in the bathroom. Ask Dina if she wants to come; she’s about ready to take her top off anyway."
Does that answer the questions about why Dina let her daughter drink recently at her 50th birthday party? No, but apparently this does:
“My 80-year-old mother was there, and she’s Italian-American, and to be able to have a glass of red wine there for her is normal for our family. … Some people who want to quit drinking do it cold turkey and some do it gradually — you want to keep a balance. I don’t know what’s a right way or a wrong way.”
Okay here is what I’ve gleaned from this interview snippet.
1) Dina Lohan is a blame-avoiding enabler.
2) Grandma Lohan is kind of awesome.
