Diane Lane and Josh Brolin Divorcing
by Shannon KeirnanAfter eight years of marriage, another Hollywood union bites the dust with Diane Lane and Josh Brolin. A representative for the couple has confirmed the split.
“Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage.”
According to a source close to the two, “It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable. It’s not ugly, it’s just over.”
This was the second marriage for both. Lane, who starred in flicks like “Unfaithful” and “Under the Tuscan Sun,” was previously married to Christopher Lambert, with whom she has a 19-year-old daughter.
“No Country for Old Men” actor Brolin was married to Alice Adair, with whom he has an 18-year-old daughter and a 24-year-old son.
Brolin and Lane wed in 2004, and do not have any children together.
Each does has a respective Oscar nomination, however.
While their marriage has had its good times… such as in 2010 when Brolin said, “I mean, check her out, man. My relationship with my wife is fantastic…” they have also had their rocky moments.
Shortly after marrying, Lane accused Brolin of domestic abuse, claiming the actor struck her during an argument. She later dropped the charges against him.
At the time, her spokeswoman said “There was a misunderstanding at their home… she did not want to press charges… they are embarrassed the matter went this far.”
Brolin was also in hot water after a bar brawl while filming “W.,” and most recently, he was arrested for public intoxication on New Year’s Eve. He was not charged after spending the night in jail.
