'Dexter' Season 7 Casting: Russian Stripper Reveals Possible Plot Points

Ah, now the "Dexter" news is heating up. Just the other day we got a tantalizing but not very revealing teaser trailer, one that doesn't tell us much about the upcoming seventh season. But new casting news might give us a few hints where the teaser failed to.

According to TVLine, Swedish actress Katia Winter will be joining the new season of "Dexter" in a recurring role as a Russian stripper. That's interesting news considering that actor Jason Gedrick has been cast as the owner of a strip club, and Ray Stevenson has been cast as a Russian mobster.

All of this points to Dexter, Deb and the rest of Miami Metro having to deal with a Russian crime syndicate, with that strip club somehow being involved. Usually Dexter's big bad is another serial killer, so we'll have to wait and see how that plays into this whole Russian mob thing. It seems as though the criminals associated with this strip club will be pieces of the puzzle that is the season's main killer.

Then again, considering the way last season ended, maybe there doesn't need to be another serial killer in town. Dexter and Deb could certainly use a break to figure out their own personal problems, don't you think?
