'Dexter' Season 7 Adds 'Heroes' Actor in New Role

'Dexter' Season 7 Adds 'Heroes' Actor in New Role The cast of "Dexter" season seven continues to grow, and with it grows the list of characters that could end up playing a pivotal role in the new season's story.

The latest addition to the cast is "Heroes" alum Santiago Cabrera, whom fans of the now defunct NBC superhero show will now as Isaac Mendez, the ill-fated artist who could paint the future. Santiago will be playing a much less omniscient (and hopefully less heroin-dependent) role in "Dexter," as he's set to play an investigative author by the name of Ethan Price.

Price will show up in multiple episodes in season seven, writing out past and present cases as Miami Metro opens up some closes murder cases in search of... something. The show has been tight-lipped about that part, but we do know that it all has something to do with "Chuck" star Yvonne Strahovski's new character.

Of course, any time there's anyone with investigative prowess in Dexter's life, we have to fear for our protagonist a bit. After all, Dex still has to deal with Deb's reaction, so the last thing he needs is someone else snooping around his personal life.
