Demi Moore Rushed to Hospital After 911 Call, Drops Out of 'Lovelace'

Demi Moore Rushed to Hospital After 911 Call, Drops Out of 'Lovelace' Even with Ashton out of the picture, things still aren't looking up for Demi Moore. The actress was rushed to the hospital Monday night after a 911 call was placed from her home.

Moore's rep claims that the cause of the incident was exhaustion: "Because of the stresses in her life right now," Moore's rep reported, "Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health." TMZ, ever the instigator, is instead reporting that Moore was hospitalized because of substance abuse.

After a very public split with husband and now "Two and a Half Men" star Ashton Kutcher, Moore was finally happening into some better luck, having landed a role in the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic as feminist leader Gloria Steinem. However, following this incident, Moore has dropped out of the project.

Further reports may clear up the question of whether or not drugs were involved, but if they were, Moore would not be the first to end up hospitalized of late: Heather Locklear was recently admitted for substance abuse following an overdose.
