Demi Lovato's World Series National Anthem Performance Falls Flat (Video)

Demi Lovato's World Series National Anthem Performance Falls Flat (Video) The World Series might have ended with a bang last night, but it started with a whimper.

The San Francisco Giants made baseball history again when they swept the Detroit Tigers during Game 4, making it their second win in two years.

The City by the Bay took to the streets in celebration by setting off fireworks, dancing and singing every champion themed song in the book once the final strike was called.

But before the game could start, someone had to sing the National Anthem - not the easiest song to pull off in front of millions of people.

The X Factor judge, former Disney Channel starlet, and role model Demi Lovato took to the field to sing what some might label a lackluster version of The Star Spangled Banner.

In fact her rendition was so subpar, you have to wonder if she would have gotten voted off her own show. She previously sang the anthem during Game 5 of the series last year with much better results.

But despite this bumpy start, the Giants went on to play a great game against the Tigers – leaving people around the country (and world) on the end of their barstools for 10 innings.

The X Factor airs Wednesday and Thursday nights on Fox.

What did you think of Demi Lovato’s performance? Are people being too harsh? Who would have been a better pick to open the game?
