Deleted Scenes From 'The Bachelorette' Tell Story Of Finalists Versus Ashley's Stepdad

Few men worth their salt would contradict me on this one: not many life experiences demand the steely nerve and resolve of meeting one's Lady Faire's father and asking for her hand in marriage.

So, that being said . . . why, exactly, wasn't this an integral part of watching the last legs of Ben and J.P.'s respective journeys on "The Bachelorette" Monday night?

Well, if you watched, that's pretty obvious: because the producers developed a fixation on watching Ashley's b&*ch-from-Hell sister Chrystie gobble up J.P. like a Twinkie and gloat to her little sis over her superior common sense.

OK, so that did make for yet another gleeful prime time car-wreck. But on a show that's all about relationships and love, why leave out something that's so relatably unnerving?

Luckily, these things have their ways of sneaking onto the Internet - namely, YouTube.

But as I often say, don't take my word for it. Watch the respective confrontations with Stepdad Mike, and tell us whether you thought it was Ben or eventual winner J.P. that left the best mark.
