The Defenders Season 1 Episode 10 - 'Nevada v. Dennis' Recap

The Defenders Season 1 Episode 10 Recap In season 1 episode 10 of The Defender, Nick and Pete defend an 18 year old who was pulled over and had illegal guns in his vehicle and in a different case, a bear about to be euthanized.

Nick takes on a case involving a DA's sister and her pet bear. The bear is about to euthanized and well the details of the case don't really matter because all Nick cares is that the DA's sister is hot. Hot and single. While she's a client he doesn't try anything but who's to say that once the case is over he can't make a move. Well, and he does. The episode actually ends with him walking along with the woman and being followed by the bear, Pete and the DA. Talk about a romantic date, huh?

The more primary case in the episode involves a boy who was pulled over and had his truck searched. Inside was a supply of guns with the serial numbers scratched off. The NRA and other organizations end up getting involved but it comes down to the grandfather who raised him taking the stand and accepting responsibility for placing those items in the boy's vehicle. It's a rare family moment shared on the show which softens everyone.

More importantly it shows that sometimes a person has to do the right thing even if the person they are doing it for doesn't understand the reasoning. The boy was 18 and knew no better, it was the way he was raised. His grandfather was well aware of what was going on and being in his elder years could spend the rest of his life behind prison bars if need be to save his young impressionable grandson.
