Will Darryl Be the New Lead in 'The Walking Dead'?
by EG
When Rick Grimes exits The Walking Dead next season, the logical next step would be for Darryl to take over as leader of the group. But if there's one thing we know about TWD, it's that the writers can't be trusted to follow the logical course. Read on for Norman Reedus' thoughts on the subject.

After Andrew Lincoln confirmed his exit from The Walking Dead during the weekend’s San Diego Comic-con, his co-star Norman Reedus has addressed reports he’ll be replacing the Brit as lead of the zombie epic.
Lincoln announced he’s quit his role as Rick Grimes during an emotional speech on Friday, leaving a huge question mark over the AMC series: Where can they possibly go from here? The star stressed that ‘no one is bigger than the show’, and we’re about to find out as Rick’s exit is imminent.
Reedus has agreed and squashed any idea that he’ll take over as leader of the pack, as he said: ‘We’re currently working on some things that answer that question, so I shouldn’t answer it. ‘There’s a lot of stuff that’s cooking in the garage right now. We’re working on all sorts of things, and as the months go on, we’re going to have a lot more to say about it.’ Lincoln admitted he was ‘relieved’ to have finally addressed his fans, but was ‘gutted’ the news broke ahead of his announcement.
‘There is a certain sense of relief this morning,’ Lincoln said, according to Entertainment Weekly. ‘But I still regret that the story broke, because I believe in story… It’s going to be a great season, but it would have been greater if it was not spoiled to a degree.’
