Darren Criss Begins 'How To Succeed' Run... How Long Before He's Back on 'Glee?'
by Andy NeuenschwanderIf you're a "Glee" fan, you've probably noticed that Darren Criss, aka Blaine, has become a bigger part of the show pretty much every week since he joined the cast, earning more screen time and musical numbers as the show enters the second half of its third season.
But Criss is about to miss out on some "Glee" time in order to pursue some stage time. The actor/singer started his run on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" last night, taking over the role from Harry Potter portrayer Daniel Radcliffe. That means Criss will be missing out on the shooting of some episodes of "Glee."
Don't panic, Blaine fans: Criss won't be gone for too long as his Broadway run is only three weeks. Blaine will be noticeably missing from just a couple of episodes later in the season, one of which will be the big Latin-themed episode with Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan.
And yes, Criss will be present for the big Michael Jackson tribute episode due soon, as he already shot his scenes for the ep in whirlwind fashion.
As for "How to Succeed," once Criss completes his three-week run (the opening of which had fans camping out for tickets) he will be replaced by Nick Jonas.
