Is Darren Criss Pushing for a Spin-Off?

Is Darren Criss Pushing for a Spin-Off? Can a show get so big – with so many talented stars – that a spin-off is absolutely necessary?

On Monday, “Glee” star Darren Criss responded to idea and the possibility of an additional run for his character, Blaine.

“Hey, I’m just happy to be invited to the party,” Darren told Access Hollywood at the Oxygen upfront presentation in New York. “A spin-off, whatever they want, I’m happy where I am."

The Warblers are already getting their own album, out April 19, and speculation holds that they could get their own series.

“I think Blaine serves a really cool function in the grander scheme of ‘Glee,’ so I don’t think we need to focus particularly — you know, but if they want to do it, hey, I’m down! Whatever they want,” he added.

It’s a good thing Criss is flexible. The 24-year old breakout star is busy. We already know that his character Blaine will be auditioning for the New Directions glee club in season three. Additionally, Criss will serve as a mentor on Oxygen’s “The Glee Project” which begins on Sunday, June 12.
