'The Dark Knight Rises' Shooting Victim Speaks Out Against Megadeth Singer's Rant
by Sean ComerOh, what 31 fresh flavors and then some of bat-crap deluded is this?
Oh, not the response of the one of James E. Holmes' July 20 "The Dark Knight Rises" shooting survivors, as reported by TMZ. What potency of bath salts has Megadeth singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine been ingesting that he supposes President Barack Obama staged Holmes' deadly rampage?!
When Holmes stormed the Aurora, Colo., movie theater screening a midnight premiere about 30 minutes into the long-awaited Batman trilogy's concluding chapter, Carli Richards absorbed multiple gunshots to her left side and lived. However she may feel about Holmes or the incident herself, she isn't letting Mustaine slide on recent accusations that President Obama staged the whole incident so that he could make a case for more stringent gun-control legislation.
Seriously. As is often said here on the Internet, "this is a thing."
"[Obama]'s trying to pass a gun ban, so he's staging all of these murders, like the 'Fast and Furious' thing down at the border; [the massacre in] Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there; and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple," he told fans at a concert Aug. 7, video of which Blabbermouth.net posted Wednesday.
Richards is understandably still coping as best anyone put through what she has been would be able to achieve, but she doesn't excuse Mustaine's brand of crazy.
"It's obviously kind of absurd and people who make up conspiracies just want attention," she said. Bless her, by the way, for the benefit of a doubt that Mustaine's only "kind of" off the rails. "Everybody is emotional at this time and needs to blame somebody I guess. I don't think they realize the consequences of not being responsible for your own actions and James Holmes needs to be held accountable for his, to whatever way the justice system deems fit.
Some people think the President is a good scapegoat, but he didn't shoot me," she added.
Well-said, Miss.
In case it hasn't been seen yet, Mustaine's River of "Wait, what??" starts around the 2:38 mark below.
