Daredevil Season 2 Coming Soon to Netflix
by EG
Netflix announced this week the premiere date for season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil, and the service also released a teaser trailer in an attempt to ramp up anticipation for the new season. The spring release of the new episode will fall just a week before the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The teaser, which features moments from the series' season 1 in still images accompanied by audio from those moments, offers little in the way of revelations about the new season, aside from a subtle hint that the Punisher will fill the role of the season's central villain. The teaser is also built around references to Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel paintings, bringing Matt Murdock's Catholic faith to the forefront.
A poster released along with the teaser is an adaptation of the Last Judgment scene from the Sistine Chapel, and like that painting, the poster is a busy composition that includes dozens of characters and moments from the upcoming season and the previous one.
Season 2 of Daredevil will be available for streaming in its entirety on March 18, 2016. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the spring's other big superhero event, hits theaters exactly a week later on March 25.
