'Daredevil' Renewed for Season 2, but Loses Showrunner

Matt Murdock will be back to kick more ass next year!
Netflix has renewed "Daredevil" for a second season according to an announcement from Marvel, which called the first season a "smash success." Netflix doesn't report specific audience numbers for their shows, so we'll have to take their word for it.
However, there will be a change in the creative team for season two: showrunner Steven S. DeKnight will be leaving the show, and will be replaced by writers Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez, who served on the staff for the first season.
"While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season," DeKnight said in a statement, "I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward."
While "Daredevil" season two won't premiere until 2016, there's a chance we could see the character again before then: Marvel's "A.K.A. Jessica Jones" will premiere on Netflix later this year and will reportedly tie in to some of the "Daredevil" storyline, as will "Luke Cage" when it premieres in 2016.
