Danielle Fishel Addresses Concerns About 'Girl Meets World'

Danielle Fishel Addresses Concerns About 'Girl Meets World' Danielle Fishel has reassuring words for anyone starting to get a little nervous about the spin-off of the popular “Boy Meets World.”

Fishel said this of the upcoming “Girl Meets World”:

"We always treated the kids that were watching the show like they were smart and they could get what was going on and they understood the messages; we didn't have to beat it over your head.”

Fishel added, “If we're going to try and bring it back, we want to bring it back with the same heart and integrity and innocence that the first one had. We're going to make sure we don't let anybody down."

The spin-off show has accrued a surprising amount of interest. The addition of the original “Boy Meets World” episodes to many media sites has certainly helped, sparking nostalgia in all those 80’s and 90’s babies out there.

"I think everyone is a little nostalgic for that family-friendly innocent fun again!” said Fishel.

Fishel has confirmed that she will be returning to her role as Topanga, along with Ben Savage stepping back in as Cory Matthews.

The show will follow the life of Cory and Topanga’s daughter, Riley.

"I'm coming back as a mom, which is really exciting because I've always wanted to be a mom and I'm not one in my real life," Fishel gushed.

"When I think back about when we started ‘Boy Meets World’ in '93, so almost 20 years ago, I was 12. The idea that I now get to see another young girl who is about the same age I was 20 years ago starting in her own career is really exciting."
