Daniel Radcliffe Goes Anti-Potter In Creepy 'The Woman In Black' Trailer

So what did Harry Potter really do post-Hogwarts?

Believe it or not . . . law school, apparently. He became a lawyer, then spent some time just being chased around by a mysterious and malevolent lady in black. You know, just while he figured out what he really wanted to do.

That sets up the trailer to Daniel Radcliffe's first film of the PHP era (Post-"Harry Potter.") Radcliffe plays young and promising lawyer Arthur Kipps, on a mission in a remote village to deal with a deceased client's final affairs.

He starts uncovering some disturbing things while alone in the client's house, and also being followed about by the menacing Woman in Black, who has a secret he must unfold if he wants to escape the house and the village with his life.

For another trailer with a different, even more minimalist-sounding and ominous tone, check out this clip featuring unsettling little girls and some suspicious-looking toy monkeys. Between the two clips, it seems Radcliffe might have more range than anybody ever expected over a decade ago.

"The Woman In Black" his theaters everywhere Feb. 3, 2012. You know, during the absolute prime time when everybody wants to go see a scary movie - within spitting distance of Valentine's Day.

Has release timing like this ever been adequately explained?
