Daniel Radcliffe Glad He's Not Robert Pattinson

As the face of one of the most famous and financially successful film franchises in history, Daniel Radcliffe has had to find a way to handle his massive fame. The man who plays Harry Potter reportedly dealt with it by drinking for a while, but battled back that demon that and is now learning to savor the fleeting nature of fame.

“I’m not going to have this fame forever. I have it now and it’s going to go. There’s going to be some other new franchise and some other young new guy. So, you’ve got to enjoy this stuff while it happens,” Radcliffe told The Hollywood Reporter.

While he's aware of the perks and the price of fame, Radcliffe thinks there's one guy out there who's dealing with far more than he is - "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" actor Robert Pattinson.

"I think he's had to do with kind of a lot more," Radcliffe told The Hollywood Reporter.

"I had a very gradual easing in to the idea of fame, because I was doing the first two films back to back almost. So, while the whole 'Potter' film franchise was exploding, I was in studios filming and kind of unaware that this thing was going massive outside. Where as Rob, [he] was suddenly the most famous guy in the world. I think that's a lot harder to deal with."

While Radcliffe may not envy Pattinson's challenges, he does think they share quite a bit in common.

"Someone was talking about this supposed rivalry between Rob Pattison and [me]," Radcliffe told Access Hollywood back in 2010.

"What's awesome about this is, between the pair of us, we are striking a blow for the paler man ... We are white as sheets, so it's a comfort."

Radcliffe has been keeping busy since wrapping up the Potter series with "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," acting on Broadway in the Tony Award-nominated "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and playing a lawyer in the creepy new English horror flick "The Woman in Black," which is slated for release in February of 2012.
