'Dancing with the Stars' Front-Runner Hines Ward Handcuffed at Gunpoint

'Dancing with the Stars' Front-Runner Hines Ward Handcuffed at Gunpoint It was like a scene from a movie when Pittsburgh Steelers superstar and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Hines Ward was removed from a vehicle at gunpoint this morning.

LAPD were following the Honda Civic that Ward was a passenger in around 2 a.m. Thursday morning. After a check of the license plate showed that the vehicle had been reported stolen, officers pulled the driver over.

With guns drawn, cops ordered the female driver and passenger out of the car and handcuffed them.

The woman told police that she was, in fact, the person who had reported the car stolen after an incident with a parking attendant. She had recovered her vehicle, but never told police to call off the search.

First of all, what was Super Bowl champion Hines Ward doing in a Civic? Secondly, this woman was not his dancing partner Kym Johnson, with whom he is supposed to be romantically involved. I hope Hines has a good alibi (wink, wink)!

Law enforcement officials say that Ward was extremely cooperative and understanding and the pair was released without further incident.
