'Daily Show' Correspondent Brian Unger to Host 'How the States Got Their Shapes'

'Daily Show' Correspondent Brian Unger to Host 'How the States Got Their Shapes' Ever wonder why Texas is shaped like Texas? Why is Oklahoma shaped so funky? Brian Unger and The History Channel are here to answer all of your questions.

The network just added a new educational show titled "How the States Got Their Shapes" to their lineup. The show will visit each state in America and dig up the stories behind how the state borders came to be.

The show will be hosted by Brian Unger, who was formerly a correspondent for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." You might recognize Unger from his appearances as the lawyer in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (in which he is always hilarious). Unger has taken on hosting duties before when he hosted "Wired Science."

"How the States Got Their Shapes" will join a slate of History Channel reality shows, including "Pawn Stars" and "Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy," that aim to bring in more young viewers for a channel that has long been known for countless WWII documentary shows.
