'Dads' Season 1, Episode 6: 'My Dad's Hotter Than Your Dad' Recap

As usual, David is in the way. Eli suggests he go out and see the city, so Eli can get everything done he needs in the morning.

At the office, yet another assistant is packing up her stuff and storming off after sleeping with Eli. Warner cuts her a check before she leaves. Eli sneaks in, to a lecture about sleeping with co-workers.

Eli goes to Warner's to hang out, to get away from his dad for a while. Camilla suggests to Crawford that he should go hang out with David.

Warner has hired a new "Eli-proof" assistant, Janet. Warner needs to keep Eli under the radar of the new tough HR lady, who everyone is terrified of offending.

David and Crawford come in, out for lunch, and draw the attention of Janet. Eli and Warner note that David and Crawford are interested in flirting... Eli schemes to set up his dad with Janet, getting him out of the house now and then.

Crawford is driving Camilla nuts. She encourages Warner to push Crawford at Janet, and get him out. However, Warner doesn't want the complication of an "office romance."

David invites Janet out for a date, despite a lack of game, and she agrees. He leaves, as Camilla pushes Crawford in and encourages him to go and talk to her. Janet also agrees to go out with him.

She goes out with both to lukewarm results.

At work, Veronica asked her which man she wants to go out with again, and Janet admits she clicked a little more with David.

Crawford is disappointed, but he tells Warner he thinks it has just shown him that there's really only one person out there for everyone. His was Warner's mother. Moved, Warner remembers that once Crawford talked the girl he liked into going to prom with him. He goes to Janet's to convince her to go out with Crawford.

Due to some water on his pants and a misunderstanding through the window (as he tries to dry himself), Janet screams.

At work, Warner is nervous to go in, but Veronica tells him Janet quit unexpectedly. Eli teases him about the incident, but Warner has a meeting with HR now...

Eli asks David to smooth things over with Janet, but David says he is not dating her anymore.

Warner goes to his interrogation by the terrifying HR woman. The woman takes out copies of all the settlement checks Warner has had to write to past assistants (for sleeping with Eli). Eli comes in and confesses what the checks were for.

Eli is in with the HR woman a long time, and finally comes out, admitting that he is going on a date with her now to get out of trouble.
