'Dads' Season 1, Episode 16: 'Enemies of Bill' Recap
by Shannon KeirnanCamilla is displeased to find Crawford and Warner drinking together on the couch. Very drunk Crawford takes himself to bed.
In the morning Camilla wakes Warner with her screams - Crawford has peed on their couch. Camilla tells them no more drinking in the house, or he'll be out. As a show of solidarity she volunteers herself and Warner to go sober as well.
At the office, going off alcohol is having a negative affect on Crawford, who tries to drink hand sanitizer. Warner can't stop chewing gum. They assume things are fine with Camilla (though, giving up wine, she may have cracked more than anyone). After work, no one is sure what to do with themselves. Crawford and Warner play their guitars. They decide to fill up their sober time by writing songs.
Eli comes home to find Edna sitting in the dark. She threatens him, and accuses him of stealing from her change jar.
Warner and Crawford sing their song for the office, a song about being a drunken dad. One of the employees runs the local A.A. and asks them to come down and play for the meeting.
David comes home with a new watch, and Edna accuses him of stealing her change. He acts offended, but later when he goes down the stairs, he has so much change in his pockets everyone can hear him coming. Edna accuses him again, but he tells her to look at her jar, which is full. He storms off, but Edna realizes the jar is smaller. Eli decides they need to follow him and catch him in the act.
Warner and Crawford perform at the A.A. meeting, but aren't getting anyone's attention. Crawford decides to sing a pro-alcohol song instead.
Edna and Eli confront David, who is indeed spending her cash. He tells Eli he felt bad for being insulting to Eli after Eli's softball game, so he was tracking down a toy Eli had when he was a child. The only place he could find it was in a toy crane game at a bar, where he has been trying to get it. At the bar, all the people from A.A. rush in for a drink as Crawford and Warner try to convince them not to drink.
They all later decide to go back to drinking, since music destroyed more lives than alcohol. Eli and Edna meanwhile stole the game from the bar during the riot, and give Eli a jar of quarters so he can play until he gets the toy. Veronica smashes a guitar on the game and gives him the baby, and tells everyone to get back to work.
