CW Success: 'Secret Circle,' 'Ringer' and 'Hart of Dixie' Get Full-Season Pickups

CW Success: 'Secret Circle,' 'Ringer' and 'Hart of Dixie' Get Full-Season Pickups It was a good day for The CW today, as well as for its three new shows. Consequently, it's also a great day if you're a fan of "The Secret Circle," "Hart of Dixie" or "Ringer."

Earlier today, the network gave a full series pickup to the new fall show "Ringer." The show, which marks the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar to television, has thus far been a hit with fans.

Following that news, The CW also gave back-nine orders to "Hart of Dixie" with Rachel Bilson, and "The Secret Circle," the spinoff of "The Vampire Diaries" that focuses on a coven of young witches. That means that all three new shows from CW's premiere week have been picked up, giving the network a perfect record so far this season.

However, it doesn't take a whole lot to be picked up on the CW: the numbers for all CW shows (minus maybe "The Vampire Diaries") were down during premiere week. But when the Live+7 numbers came out, they revealed that things weren't all that bad, and the deficits in viewership from last year were made back through DVR and on-demand views.

We'll see how the shows fare in the coming months, but it's fairly safe to say that one or two of them at least should get a second-season pickup.
