The finale of “What Chilli Wants,” kept things real for the woman searching for Mr. Right, putting the issue of fertility and the future of motherhood front and center.
Chilli, the Grammy-winning TLC singer, turned 40 the day the show aired. In the last show, Chilli pondered whether to freeze her eggs for a chance at motherhood.
Chilli, who already has one son, said she may find Mr. Right someday and might want to option of having another child.
The topic of mature motherhood hits home for many women in the spotlight, including Sarah Jessica Parker, 44, who is expecting twin girls through a surrogate this summer.
Nicole Kidman, at 42, welcomed her first child, a daughter, with Keith Urban in 2008. Similarly, Salma Hayek, 43, gave birth to her first child and daughter in 2007.
"Motherhood is not for everyone. It is for me, but there's no reason women should feel rushed to have a child," Hayek told "Marie Claire."
Impressively, at the age of 47, Oscar-winning actress Holly Hunter welcomed twin boys with her partner, actor Gordan MacDonald.
