'Cougar Town' To Return February 14th

'Cougar Town' To Return February 14th Whether single and surly, or attached and twitter-pated, have a Happy Valentine's Day this year.

Enjoy either some decadent, gifted chocolates, or some screw-the-bowl, self-loathing Ben & Jerry's. Gaze across a candle-lit table into another's soft, tender eyes . . . or consider ordering a pizza and bathing beneath a flat-screen's light. But one way or another, nestle up with either a special person you love or a under blanket shared only with that voodoo doll you made of your ex, and enjoy the return of ABC's "Cougar Town."

That's right, Entertainment Weekly and TVLine confirm that the prime time Bill Lawrence comedy will make its return from hiatus Feb. 14, and with a new time slot, no less. The Courtney Cox and Christa Miller hit about sexy forty-somethings prowling the suburbs less than desperately will be replacing the recently axed "Work It" following Friday's abrupt cancelation, and taking up the cross dressing sitcom's 8:30 PM ET/PT Tuesday spot.

The good news: hey, at least it's back. "Community" fans would still love to hear something so definitive. The somewhat iffy news: instead of being preceded by "Modern Family" on Wednesday, it's now led in by the Tim Allen comedy "Last Man Standing."

This will be the third follow-up "Last Man Standing" has had this season, following the failures in that slot of "Work It" and "Man Up."

Still, give Bill Lawrence and Co. credit: they've gone above and beyond making sure fans don't forget that "Cougar Town" is still a thing that exists. Lawrence claimed in October that his show's cast would "be on more shows this fall . . . than any cast on TV." And well, he was right: Cox showed up regularly supporting ex-husband David Arquette's run during the most recent "Dancing With The Stars" season, Ian Gomez popped up on "Grey's Anatomy," Miller performed a stint on "Private Practice" and others said "howdy" during brief appearances on the likes of "Castle," "The Middle," "Man Up" and even across network lines on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother," to name just a few participating shows.

Sure, maybe the show will get a "Last Man Standing"-related bump. Then again, with such savvy promotion in place, maybe it will be Allen's latest ABC stand that will get a rub from Lawrence, Miller, Cox and the cul de sac crew.
