Confirmed: J Lo, Rest of Cast Coming Back to 'American Idol'

Confirmed: J Lo, Rest of Cast Coming Back to 'American Idol' Apparently, J Lo's push for the big bucks worked out just fine (for her anyways). "American Idol" Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe told Ryan Seacrest this morning that the multi-talented actress/singer/dancer/judge is in fact going to be back for a new season along with her co-horts Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.

“I believe we’re still waiting for the official announcements but I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of 'American Idol,' are back for the next season," said Lythgoe.

As we reported a couple weeks ago, J Lo was reportedly in negotiations with the show and asking for $20 million for a new season. Rumors had been floating around that J Lo's potential big deal had Tyler and Jackson potentially looking to renegotiate their deals. Whether that's true or not, it looks like they're headed back anyway.

Earlier in the year, J Lo had fans wondering whether she was coming back or not when told the BBC that she was "on the fence" about returning to the show.

"I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it, but I have a lot of other things happening, and it's going to come down to making a choice of really what I want to do for the next year," Lopez said. "We're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!' So I'm not. I'm really enjoying the time of just waiting -- and seeing."

The Wrap then reported that she was might have closed a deal with the network worth a whopping $20 million, which caused all kinds of folks (including fans on the Yidio Facebook page) to ask "what kind of judging is worth that much?"

Apparently, officially, J Lo's kind of judging.

Think J Lo's new contract is poppycock? Find out how why it could actually be bad for the show overall.

The premiere date for Season 11 of "American Idol" is January 22, 2012.
